Welcome!

Once again, welcome to my homepage. I'm Alvin from sunny island Singapore!

In case you're wondering, the Republic of Singapore is an Asian country at the southern tip of the Malay peninsula. Most of the population is Chinese, making up 77% out of its total population of 4 million. "Singapore" means "Lion city" in Sanskrit. The official languages are English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil.

So much for the history and geography lessons.

That's me! Borned in Singapore, lived in Singapore most part of my life. However, I did live in Brisbane (Australia), about a year, around 2001/2002 period, for my studies on Bachelor of Information Technology, majoring in Data Communications.

Had the most wonderful time there as well too! Now I'm starting to miss the Sunshine State! Well, I do enjoy travelling too, have been to places like Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Not to mention Australia and neighbouring Malaysia. I hope to expand this list to include countries like Japan, Thailand, Philippines, UK and US.

My Life

Here's the other half of me, my wife of course! We got married back in May'04, and it has been a great 2 years ever since! Well, I've gotta mention about her, she kept pestering me to update my homepage. I think she probably got sick of my old homepage layout, just like many of you out there as well!

Well, I live in a humble 4-room HDB apartment near Boon Lay MRT station, at this town called Jurong West New Town. Its not a very large town as in some other countries, a "town" in Singapore would be termed as mainly pacted with residential apartment blocks, with amenities for commercial, community and sports.
