Libel Disclaimer: What is expressed here is my understanding of how the campaigning has been happening based on edited (and perhaps PAP biased) reports on local TV, radio and newspapers. These are supplemented by reports on the BBC World Service as well as personal observations. Naturally, some facts might be wrong and I will stand corrected.
My objective in doing this is to show how powerful the Net is in enabling a lowly citizen like me to express my opinion and be able to share them with my fellow countrymen in a way the traditional media will never be able to do - nor are politically allowed to.
And more importantly, for such an important issue as the election of the government of the Republic of Singapore, I think it is fundamental that the people who elect and pay the MPs must be heard. The disgraceful local print and broadcast media does not do a thing about it.
I think that for this election, the net would not impact the outcome to any significant way, but watch out in 5 years :-)!

Here's my usual page.
