Creating your own Web page on Pacific Internet

Now that you have seen what is available on the web, isn't about time you created your very own? All Pacific Internet subscribers can do so by following these few steps.

  1. Create your home page on your own computer. Refer to my story in the March 1995 issue of HomePC (available at a newsstand near you).
  2. Create a subdirectory in your home directory on home.pacific.net.sg called "public_html". You can do so by telnetting into the machine and typing at the command prompt: "mkdir public_html"
  3. Upload your home page from your home computer to this subdirectory and call it "index.html".
Enjoy.
