- In USA, there was a loss of 4,523 members inspite of 25 new clubs being chartered.
- Japan saw a loss of 3,465 members with an addition of 16 new clubs.
- Korea had a loss of 2,483 members although 39 new clubs were formed.
- The Philippines saw 40 new clubs being formed, but in the process lost 701 Rotarians.
- Taiwan saw a modest gain of 604 members with the formation of 28 clubs.
- The bright light in Asia was India which increased its fold by 2,219 with 128
new clubs being chartered.
- England had a loss of 638 members (10 new clubs).
- France had a loss of 142 members (15 new clubs).
- Germany bucked the trend in Europe with an addition of 900 members and the formation
of 10 new clubs.
