We don't just give you a licence to dive, we have a reputation for teaching you how to dive well and safely! Don't just get a licence, get an experience! All PADI courses are offered with an emphasis on the understanding, care and protection of the marine environment and the staff take all necessary precautions to ensure the highest standards of safety and professionalism, at the same time offering a friendly and informal course. PADI
Open Water Our course conforms to the required PADI standards and consists of five nights of class and pool training (approx four hours per night) followed by two days of diving in the sea when four scuba dives are undertaken. Alternatively, the course can be completed in four full days. Regular two-weekend courses are conducted and Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday courses are also available. With our own private classroom and adjacent garden swimming pool, courses are conducted in a relaxed and pleasant environment. Typhoon, our fast, custom-built dive catamaran, takes students to the Southern Island dive sites in an exhilarating 20 minutes. Two boat trips are included in the course fee of S$560. The fee also covers all instruction, an original copy of the PADI Open Water Manual, dive tables and log book, scuba equipment, tanks, weight belt and weights, plus certification charges. We do not make any extra charge if you require an additional pool session to fully understand the skills required for progressing to training in the sea. All students are required to have the basic equipment, comprising mask, snorkel and fins. A wetsuit is advisable but not a requirement. Marsden Bros sells a full range of scuba equipment, including masks, snorkels, full foot and adjustable fins, boots and wetsuits at very reasonable prices and with very good discounts for students - see the Gear section for details. |
