New Tools on the Internet

What's there for the future on the Internet ? There is the Internet radio and Internet TV. So far, we have looked on downloading a movie clips and stored on the harddisk before activating a player to view the file. The future of browsers will have online audio and video images. This means that you will be able to hear and see the sound and video images while the browser is continuing to transfer the file.

Technology such as Real Audio and StreamWorks permits you to listen to live radio broadcasts over the Internet without the need to wait for the entire sound file to be downloaded.
VDOLive allows you to see live broadcasts over the web.

One of the fast emerging technology is the Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) that enables browsers to view 3-D sites on the web. The competing Java technology developed by Sun microsystems allows browsers to run small programs called applets to perform functions like rotating a 3-D image.
